Awareness raising in Zangakatun

14.12.2024, at Zangakatun village school, an awareness-raising campaign was held within the framework of the “SWAP _Xchange: start(s) the change!” program.

During the meeting, participants, together with one of the main team members, Andranik, discussed the differences between sustainable and fast fashion, sharing their experiences and insights.

The event featured lively discussions, idea exchanges, and educational games developed by the organization.

In the final part, participants took part in a clothing design activity, adding a creative touch to the day.

AwarenesAwareness raising in Dilijan

The next meeting of the “SWAP _Xchange: start(s) the change!” project team took place at the DUCO Youth Center in Dilijan.
As part of the program, our team gladly shared the knowledge and green skills they had gained with local youth through engaging discussions and everyone’s favorite board games, including “Sustainable Me in Fashion” and other development-focused games.
During the session, around 20 teenagers aged 13–18 explored the direct and indirect impact of sustainable fashion on nature and expressed genuine enthusiasm about recycling their clothes in the future.

Awareness raising in Gyumri

The next awareness campaign, titled “Swap_Xchange: start(s) the change!”, was organized as part of the program and took place at School No. 15 in Gyumri.

 

During the meeting, Nare, a member of the core team, facilitated an exchange of experiences and knowledge on sustainable fashion and the impact of fast fashion.

The students actively participated in engaging discussions, shared their opinions, and, ultimately, reinforced their understanding through interactive educational games developed by the organization.

Awareness raising in Gavar

This time, the “SWAP _Xchange: start(s) the change!” team visited the Youth Center in Gavar, where around 30 young people aged 13–18 gathered to explore the direct and indirect impact of fashion on nature. Through topics like fast and sustainable fashion, greenwashing, and other engaging new terms, participants deepened their understanding of environmental issues in a relatable way. The already beloved board games ,“Sustainable Me in Fashion” and “The Story of My Clothes”,  created a lively atmosphere and helped reinforce the knowledge gained.

Awareness raising in Tavshut

The first local awareness campaign meeting was graciously organized in the  Tavshut community, located in the Shirak region.

 

Our core team member Lilit held a meeting with young people and presented our long-term project and its upcoming activities, methods for recycling and reusing clothes. She also put in practice  one of the tools from the “Fast Fashion?Fast Forward!-4F” project toolbox.

 

At the end of the meeting, participants created bags, wallets, and other items to give to  their old or unused clothes a new life.
